And no, I didn't use a macro lens for this shot.

Curds separating from the whey while making cheese?

Nope! Curds aren't that tidy, actually.

Well some of the bubbles look milky, but then I'm thrown by the brown ones. I'm going to guess a cooking dish left to soak, but I don't think that's right.
Whatever it is, it's pretty!

My first thought was that it looked like oil or cream stuck to the bottom of a warming pan, and you added water or some other liquid on top of it. However there might be too many white bubbly things for that, since when I pour oil into water, and some sticks to the bottom of the pan, it bubbled back up top fairly quickly... Stumped me! :)

Jen, Maebius, you're both kind of in the vicinity....

I'll guess it's milk, oil and vanilla for something yummy on the way.

It kind of looks like some sort of cheese rind or something like that....

Martha - you are EXACTLY right - nice job! I'm impressed. Those are some of the wet ingredients for a quadruple batch of Chocolate Zucchini Bread I made yesterday. I'll post the recipe and more photos later today.

milk, oil...and vanilla makes more sense than the soy sauce I originally thought. It's the bit of green I can't fathom.
Of course now I've read the ingredients I know what the green thing is.
