Blueberry Adventures at Carbuncle Pond
We've lucked out a lot this year - the days we choose to go somewhere to do something as a little family unit have stayed relatively sunny, or at least haven't been full of pouring rain. Amazing, considering how much...

Blueberry Lime Jam
Oh, how I love blueberries. I saw a recipe for Blueberry Lime jam in the book put out by Ball, the company who makes most of the canning jars and equipment you see out there. But there was SO much...

Eep on that last pic, hope the owner of that foot is okay. But the first one, a newly ripe red tomato is one of the most beautiful sights, especially with all the never-ending rain we have had this season (sigh).

I was getting something out of the freezer (which is right next to the kitchen door) and when I shut the freezer door, I went to open the kitchen door more to let the breeze in, and the bottom corner scraped that lovely line in my foot. It hurt like hell.

My foot - thanks, I'm okay. It hurt a lot when it happened, though, and every now and then, like when my parents' dog accidentally steps on it. :)

Did you take all these pictures in one day? I hope your foot feels better!

Yes! I had sort of got the idea when we (finally) had a single red tomato (not the one in the picture - the one that gave me the idea was sliced up and gone before I could take a picture of it) and I just thought "seeing red," so after the thing happened with my foot (last picture), I actually started the series by taking that photo out in our driveway, and then I just walked around the yard looking for anything red. It was fun, actually, and I think I shot everything in less than 10 minutes.
