Hey, if you're in RI this weekend and you're looking for something fun and foodish to do, you might want to stop by the Harvest Festival at Kenyon's Grist Mill in Usquepaugh, which is part of West Kingstown. The Festival is Saturday and Sunday (October 24 & 25) from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and includes free tours of the mill, lots of free food, free wine tastings, not to mention free admission and free parking.
They are asking people to bring a donation to the RI Food Bank or the Johnnycake Center - not sure if this is just for the mill tour or for the whole thing - either way, those are both worthy causes and help support the community.
I'm definitely going to be there - it sounds like a great time!
Thanks for sharing! This looks like a lot of fun. I'm going to see if I can talk my husband into driving down there and checking it out!
