This week Julia's been asking that I braid her hair for school. Earlier in the week she wanted two braids. Yesterday it was three. Today she asked for two braids and a ponytail. This is the result.
She seemed pretty happy with it.

Cyndi Lauper has nothing on her. Has she read the story about the girl who starts fads in school with her hair styles? I wish I could remember the name of that book... I would read it to the Kindergartners and as I read it I'd style my hair into the style of the day that the little girl in the book would be wearing.... pony tail on the side, pony tail in front, two, three, high or low. Yeah, I have the mind of a child, so what else is new.

That's such a great age for clothing and hair experimentation. I remember going to school once in a prairie dress (Laura Ingalls Wilder had nothing on this thing), and nobody said a thing.
