Have you noticed those yellow buttons lately, on some of my recipe posts? They look like this:
What do they mean? You might be wondering.
Well, I'll tell you.
The lovely people at Springpad and I have partnered together so that you can now save my recipes (I'll be uploading more and more of them as the days go on) in one convenient spot.
All you need to do is this: if you like the recipe you're reading, locate the little yellow "Save it!" button at the bottom of the post, click on it and either register or login to Springpad's online organizer. My recipe info will be added to your online notebook of stuff, and you're all set!
It's not just a recipe site, either. You can save all sorts of things - it's a list-maker's dream! And if you're at all like me - a pack rat - this can help streamline the chaos. I've got all sorts of things saved in my favorites lists, bookmarked, and scribbled on scraps of paper. But half the time I can't remember where anything is, and I waste tons of time just looking for stuff.
Springpad is there to help bring order out of that jumble of important stuff that's been stashed everywhere. Think of it as spring cleaning, internet style!
But go ahead and discover that for yourself.
The coolest part (for me) is adding my recipes to Springpad. I don't know if you've noticed this or not, but sometimes my posts ramble on and on and on for a long time, even the recipe posts. Sometimes I list all the ingredients in an orderly fashion. Sometimes, well, I don't. But with Springpad, all I have to do is plug in the URL from the post I want to include, and magically (it's magic to me) all my ingredients are listed, right there, in orderly fashion. And I hardly had to do a thing!
It makes me very happy, let me tell you!
So over the next few days I'll be going back through allllllllllllllllll my old recipes, and adding them to Springpad, as well as linking in anything new that I write about.
I'm very, very excited about this.
VERY.
Can you tell?
oh, now, this is very cool!
