I feel like for the past couple of days I've spent most of my time running around in circles doing something, only at the end of the days there haven't seemed to be any actual results lying around, you know, like PROOF that I have earned my keep around here. You know how that is? Yeah.
So anyway, I ran around today some, and I must have been running with a purpose (not with scissors), or else, why run? But I look around and there are still dishes to do and I didn't do laundry because of the threat of a downpour (which did arrive a little while ago, poured down, and has now moved on) (I hang my laundry out on the line), and oh who wants to hear more of this drivel? No one. Of course. Me either.
I stopped for a few minutes to check email and sit, and I realized that when I posted my little "what did you eat for dinner on Cinco de Mayo" post this morning, I left out two pictures. Well, three, actually.
We ate outside on the deck, and before I sat down I had to take my pictures of the food on my plate. Not really great pictures, either, I must admit, but I was too hungry at that point to care.
Alex has a charming habit now of thrusting his hand in front of the camera whenever I'm taking pictures in his vicinity, and he did that right as I went to take my first shot of my dinner plate. I glared at him and issued threats and he stopped. Then when I was finished, he said, "Hey, Mom, why don't you take a picture of this?"
So I did.
Yes, he's really excited to eat that couscous!
Or something.
Anyway, Julia, not one to miss a photo-op, caught me as I was putting the camera down and reaching for a fork.
"Mom, take a picture of me!"
Now, she'd already seen her brother being his wild and crazy self for the camera and she sensed that perhaps I'd prefer a different sort of behavior.
This is something she does if Alex is in hot water - she immediately becomes The Good Child. Everything changes - her facial expression, her voice, her body language. Suddenly she is All Good All the Time. It's hysterical, and annoying. And predictable.
So here she is, eating politely, with her mouth closed.
So that was last night.
And since we're on the topic of faces, sort of, I'm adding a couple more to this post. (It's also called "procrastination.")
Here they are: Zombies Among Us:
WARNING: IF YOU ARE EASILY GROSSED OUT BY EYEBALL RELATED THINGS, YOU MIGHT WANT TO SCROLL QUICKLY PAST THESE NEXT TWO IMAGES! ~

Creepy, huh? I don't remember why they were doing that, but it was very important to them that I take pictures.
There. I hope you enjoyed that.
And yes, Mom, their eyes HAVE stuck like that!!!!
Just kidding. :)
