I know, I know, I’m supposed to be writing about salmon, and coffee, and the Mariners, and the Space Needle, and all other Seattlean things.
Well, okay, here you go.
It’s currently 4:51 in the VERY DARK a.m., and my sister-in-law has taken my husband and son to a dock somewhere in another town to board a charter boat so they can go salmon fishing this morning on Puget Sound.
I am currently drinking a very nice cup of Starbucks Sumatra coffee.
The other night, we saw most of a Mariners game (vs. Oakland). We (Mariners – I’m out here, so I’m root, root, rooting for the home team) won, and we saw them make a 5-4-3 triple play, which was very exciting. First time in fifteen years, I’ve been told.
And…perhaps we will go to the Space Needle tomorrow night. Not sure yet. But it’s on the list.
Okay, now that that’s all out of the way, I just had to take a moment to tell you about a blog a friend of mine started recently.
This is my friend who is the mother of one of my daughter’s kindergarten classmates…my friend who is the foster-mother to our little chicken, Rosa (who is not so little now, and who I need to take a picture of again, because it’s been way too long)…my friend who I started walking with, and who has kind of got me to start running, because she is ambitious and signed up for a 5K in September, and so then I signed up for it as well and then realized “maybe I should start running, since I currently DON’T MOVE THAT FAST.”
That friend.
Anyway, she’s started a blog. And you should read it. Because…well, you should.
It’s called Like Jillian Only Taller, and if you want to know why, you’ll just have to start at the beginning. Which is here.
So go on, now. Git!
Stop by and say hello.
