I think it started falling in RI around three this morning.
When we got up several hours later, we had about 3-4 inches of pretty, powdery snow covering everything.
Including the bird seed.
But when you’re hungry, a little thing like 3-4 inches of snow isn’t going to stop you.
That’s what little clawed paws are for.
Digging and grabbing and holding.
It’s the Hungry Squirrel way.
I try to put a lot more out during the bad weather - I feel really bad for the little animals (although I think I've caused some of them to have to think about joining Jenny Craig) - you'd think they wouldn't poop on my deck me being so nice to them and all --- birds don't have very long memory retention.
