Spring Snapshots

Such a gorgeous day yesterday!

A day to get some important projects done…

A day to do some baking (more on that in the next few days)…

And a day to take pictures of all the growing things in and around the yard…

Lilacs…

New growth on a blueberry bush

Andromeda blossoms….

Hyacinths near the woodpile….

Rhubarb leaves unfurling….

Peas!

Tiny beginnings of broccoli rabe….

Spinach and arugula….

and Julia. Okay, she’s not a flower or a vegetable.

But she’s a growing thing…and she held still just long enough for me to get this picture.

It is currently snowing in Windsor, Ontario. Please send your green grass and budding flowers over here. So glad that my veggies, herbs, teas and other plants are all still in pots indoors! It should be spring time now, not looking like a snow globe outside! Oh well, enjoy your sun! B.B. )O(

Farmer Julia We’re able to get free compost from the town. Last week Bill nearly filled up the truck bed with gorgeous, dark compost. Most of it is out, but there’s still some that needs to be removed. Julia likes to help....
