This is the oldest one.
We’ve concluded that because he/she has pretty much lost the tail entirely and looks most like a teeny tiny real frog.
Isn’t it cute???
This is the middle tadpole. It still has a bump of a tail, but has all four froggy legs.
The third one still looks like a tadpole – big head, two tiny back legs, big tail.
I’d show you a picture, but while I was shooting more of them (after uploading these above), MY CAMERA WENT ON STRIKE.
So I had to put it down and walk away, because the temptation to scream at it and then throw it at a wall was beginning to seem like a wise decision.
So no more froggy pictures just yet.
Well, except this last one, which is from the same batch as the pictures above.
Not a great picture, but you can see the eye bumps a bit.
So cool.
Barefoot Nature Photographer Witch!
Well…I would be if my DANG CAMERA WAS WORKING.
I’ll just be going now.
Holy cow...you know how to grow them. That is amazing...Did I mention that Mrs. Keeney told DH that her son still has his tadpole - TWENTY YEARS LATER!? Well - NOT a tadpole anymore, it's a frog - or a toad - now. Still. Pretty cool. You have proven yourself with amazing life spans before - RIP Blur. This tadpole could join the ranks. It's because you're so nurturing...and such a good cook. Winning!!

They look like toads (tiny black tadpoles, tiny speckled dark metamorphs). Time to lay in wingless fruitflies and pillbug colonies.
