On Monday I mentioned the wall quilts I want to make for our bedroom windows (and who knows, maybe I’ll make them for the other rooms, too.
Anyway, I cut out lots of squares and rectangles for each of my kids to use. Then, when they got home from school and finished their homework, I put them to work.
I set them each up at a table, handed them fabric, and told them to design their window quilts.
Here’s what they came up with:
First, Alex’s…
And then, Julia’s:
I love how different they are.
Today I’m sewing the pieces together, and if I’m hoping to complete them tonight after work and/or tomorrow morning.
I’ll keep you posted! I’m pretty excited about them.
i don't tell you often enough how amazing and wonderful you are. and you are.

Great idea getting the kids involved in the design. We had window quilts when we lived in Oklahoma, the hubby made a sort of curtain rod that I could either roll the quilt up on or fold it in a certain way that it created a valance for the window when not in use.
